A Goal Beyond Its Reach Poem by Antonio Liao

A Goal Beyond Its Reach

thou shall be peace in the land,
lying baby's breathe in the air that capture
the ardent pain of a suffering blood,
from generation down to the
waking infant of thy mother breast

oh! fresh milk of the morning
sun, coward may fall to the ground
where great dunes
cover the face of loneliness
desert sorrow, find always the answer of
sweet resting place; as
the sacred vow to where the
descendant of Abraham, had return back home
the beginning of time

nay! come and bless
thy offering of your son, have
pity the soul that saved, what has been done
of savages and brutal
arm, leave us to stand and make
us to face our generation to live forever as,
thou the promise have
lingered those day and night in
you’re glorious precious blood we live

birthing the beginning of thy
lasting peace a
shared life a memory to
believe.
