A Gift From The The One Above Poem by Daniel Martins

A Gift From The The One Above

Some think its my ignorance
Some say its my pride,
But I keep my resistance
All I try to do is to hide

I'm better than many others
And I keep trying to move these boulders
In order to achieve what I expect
And that is Respect

It's not my fault that I'm better
It's not my fault to be greater
But I keep holding to my nature
I don't care if others say if im cocksure

I've got my own objectives
I won't be wasting other peoples' lives
Trying to prove that I realy am better than all they could ever be on their lives

Some say that I'm just a litle bit smarter than them, just because I can do the same or even better without doing NOTHING
While others must give out EVERYTHING!

I know I'm diferent...
But all I have to do is to be patient
For god is my only friend
He may have given me a bad start, but i truly hope that he also gave me a great end.

Of course, you have been given such a gift '... from the one above'! How can you talk of 'a bad start'? ! You have to be very proud, and humble alike... Congratulations, Dan!
