A Flight Poem by asoke ray

A Flight

Walking thro’ the golden fields on hilltop
With the gaudy Arabian sea on the enclave
I came across a beautiful lagoon
Fed by the enormous lake of blue water
Bordered by mango trees bearing juicy pulps
And the shed conditioned by its wings
A drop of Hapus on the pinken lips
The earth trembled as I held a tender arm
A flutter, a pigeon tried to escape
Minds flew away across the canopy of
Dreams into the planetarium above…..
