A Dream Of Flying And Soaring Poem by Corvette Nezumi Mikazuki

A Dream Of Flying And Soaring

A dream of flying and soaring,
To have his feat lifted upon clouds in the distant sky
What’s that?
Impossible you say?
Not for him.

He closes his eyes as he had lifted himself above the ground, and swung around
His dream had come true!
He was off the floor, in the air!
Can’t believe it! He had done it!

A mother, crying, sobbing…
Not in sadness,
Not, in joy.
Father, drunken and angered!
Infuriated with the dreams of his protégé! !
'Childish! ' 'Foolish! ! '
He’d shout and yell violently!

The dream of flying
The dream of being lifted off the ground…
Where birds fly and sing…
On clouds so white and clean…
A vivid picture of happiness and joy
A vivid image of sadness and hate
He lifts off the ground and finally flies,
With the birds in the skies.
