A Day Of Promise
this morning
i awoke peacefully in my full sized bed
surrounded by comfortable pillows
and books i thought better of last night
spoke to a potential employer
the first possible job in 5 years
caught the 1: 25 bus
to my old school
watched carefully as distant friends graduated
and won $35 on pure luck
spinning reels at the casino
and i am a pheonix
rising from
ashes
