A Cry In The Wilderness Poem by Eshna Dutta

A Cry In The Wilderness

Rating: 4.5

I HAVE A DREAM AND A SONG TO SING,
WHICH WILL TAKE AWAY ALL MY SUFFERING,
I WANNA SING IT LOUD AND LET THE WORLD KNOW,
I AM SURE, IT WILL LESSEN MY SORROW.
NOW THAT I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH,
THE PIERCING PAIN IS TEARING ME OFF;
I CAN FEEL I AM SLOWLY LOSING THE FIGHT,
GRADUALLY LACKING THE KNOWLEDGE OF WRONG AND RIGHT.
IT IS THE TRUTH, I AM LOSING THE SPARK,
AND I AM SOON GONNA FADE AWAY INTO THE DARK.....

A good depiction of the deplorable conditions many people are facing today. I hope we can all learn to take things and situations in stride, and keep up with the Faith, since Faith keeps those that keep the faith. A well articulated and nicely penned piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

I often wonder if such dark poems are how the author feels or just art. Thanks for sharing, Eshna. Peace
