A Creak In The Night Poem by Alan DeCara

A Creak In The Night

Did you hear the sounds of my house?

A thump-thump-thump-thump in the wall.
A rappity-rap-rap-rap on the bedside table.
The clunk-clunk-clunk of shoes coming up the stairs.
The crash of a picture being knocked to the floor.
Uh oh! This isn't good!
I can hear my bedroom door
Creak-creaking open.
Oh no! The ghost is here-
What will I do?

Did you here the 'Boo! ' coming from my room?
