A Christmas Haiku Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua - Amopho

A Christmas Haiku

It's Christmas season
Merry and bright all around
And soon carolers

I hear ring-a-ling
That Christmas familiar tune
Sing it loud and clear

The sound of Christmas
The tintinnabulation
It is silver Bells

Chestnuts are roasting
The fragrance of Christmas air
Fills the atmosphere

Lovers holding hands
Joyfully and tenderly
Enjoying the night

Families and friends
Strolling, shopping, hand in hand
Smiling and laughing

Children tag along
Gladly anticipating
Their many presents

Christmas trees all draped
In variegated attire
Presents surrounding

The glaring displays
The lights blinking red and green
So spectacular

It is Christmas time
Most Joyous time of the year
Rejoice and reflect

The birth of our Lord
King of kings and Lord of lords
Born to set us free

Sing to His Praises
A glorious melodious song
Ascribe to His name

Our Lord and Savior
Jesus the anointed one
Our Emmanuel
