A Cats Life Poem by olivia ruk ferarro

A Cats Life

His golden auburn eye's staring at me
are full of joy and happiness and glee
and why shouldn't they
he is a simple creature that has much to say
I wonder about his story and who he might tell
and about the sound he's heard like the song of a church bell
or the squeak of a brown mouse
inside of his fantastic country house
in ancient times he was worshipped and called god
and know he is known as a terrible fraud
and who is this mysterious creature
is he the pet of a preacher
or is he the son of the wild
a true wild child
but yes to both because he can be wild and he can be tame
and everyone knows him by his name
cat
