A Budding Riviera Poem by Lopamudra Mishra

A Budding Riviera

Morning hues intoxicates a remembrance of past,
the lonely lane spreaded with beds of gulmohar,
magnetizes warmth!
The buzzing triumphant mood,
swings with velvety touch of breeze,
en-visage down to diminuendo of past!
Years back, this day we were blessed
with wings to fly
Today air whistles the heart wrenching guts
and exemplary fighting spirit
of bygone warriors.
Their indefatigable spirit and
lacerated scar..made us taste
the wine of freedom!
Identity of motherland...
Times pendulous lost the charm
Nimbus of darkness engulfs the vision.
Tug of war between power and ego corrupts the charm..
crimson in dingy and indecorous wrath
is ignominious of present..
about to break in a tumultuous explosion!
Distorted and dissipated image will crumble
to a new germination..
Now lets our conspicuous and consistency
conciliate to build a new riviera
