A Brief Moment Of Escape Poem by Sandra Feldman

A Brief Moment Of Escape

Rating: 4.7

I dreamt of an escape,
Imaginary land where
Dreams come true,
And when good souls partake
They can participate in
All those dreams,
If they wanted to.

But life is not like that
No matter how you try,
Each alley has its cat,
And silly dreams are meant
To die...
Before they even drop out
From an imaginary, silly sky.

A beautiful poem that many of us could relate to. Yes, we can dream....dreams that can temporarily take away sorrows and pain. Yet, when reality checks, we are just hurt for it just prolong our agony. A magnificent write so well expressed. It evokes sadness and pinches the heart. To my Poem List.

The difference between dreams and reality is like day and night. The darkness makes us thinkabout ideal situations whereas the light wipes everything and shows us the truth. But those brief moments that we take out as escapist are fruits for our thoughts. A fruitful and thoughtful poem.10 ++
