A Boy In A Coat. Poem by Sam Betts

A Boy In A Coat.

A boy in a leather coat.
He had a long leather trench coat when first I did see the man who would forever be closest to me
He danced with a style that envied me till I stepped out of the side lines and I wonder still?
We next met again in a room on the med, the boy I did envy was next to my bed.
Many years have passed by and I love him still, he knows me like no one else and always will.
So when life goes on as it always will some things were ordained and it puzzles me still.
We're still together and that's how it'll stay the colour of his trench and his name will always be Gray.
