A Big Bang Poem by Damon Harper

A Big Bang

Today the greatest silence grew from inside me

Only to fracture into a million giant blaring cries

I lay confused amid the massive chorus in my mind

Which all at once dissolved to leave only but one

Her voice, a soft, and gentle, calming delight

Raced throughout me with every pounding beat of my heart

To lay touch in every single part of my being

And among this tranquil moment

Was born now that spark – that flare

That blazing passion of loves inferno now forever lit

It overcame me – it became me

And I willingly allowed it, and it me

Until here I am now - alight with loves bite

Consumed and consuming
