A Beautiful Octogenarian Poem by Francis Duggan

A Beautiful Octogenarian

Rating: 3.9

In her early eighties one who is carefree
A beautiful person in her I do see
I like her for the person she appears to be
And I like her because she is so nice to me
She is one I do always feel happy to meet
So down to earth one who is free of conceit
In anti ageing creams or hair dyes she does not hide her wrinkles and gray
One who is happy to age in the natural way
To her children a good mum and to her deceased husband she was a good wife
She remains young at heart she is one who loves life
To look at she does not seem her age eighty three
And she is all indeed what she appears to be
A happy woman free of conceit and guile
And a beautiful person with warmth in her smile.
