A Bad Dream Poem by Miranda Weller

A Bad Dream

I said once I could not move. As softly as you spoke something magical in your voice moved my body. I believed once nothing could bring my dreams down. As quickly as my heart was captured, my heart was crumbled, left in pieces. I once said that I could never allow my hear to be taken again. As long as I believed, hiding behind fragile walls, the sadness in the world creped in through the cracks. I said once I was going to be alone. As quickly as I spoke those words my body could sense yours, I opened my eyes and you had never left.
