A Baby Boomer And The Time Clock Poem by Dorsey Baker

A Baby Boomer And The Time Clock

We were just babies
way back then
we were growing up
to be grown
we just didn't know when
we followed
the crowd
not knowing
we were going nowhere
but down a one way street
to a dead end
our heroes
were just as
blind as we were
they didn't know
where they were going
we traveled
a rough road
and against our back
a crazy
wind was blowing
we didn't live
by the sword
we lived
for just another day
we weren't worried
about the future
we just
pass the time away!
