929 Golden Blossoms Poem by V F

929 Golden Blossoms

Rating: 4.7

always have i admired
brilliant red n orange blooms
of the stately gulmohur
out in their ostentatious display
id stand and gaze often
at their beauty and brilliance
and thank the Maker
for such a lovely bouquet
the gaudy bougainvilleas
white purple orange and pink
jostled and vied
for space and attention
upon my garden hedge
the feathery ethereal blossoms
of the looming jacaranda tree
did leave me breathless
when onset of summer they did decree
a sense of peace stole over me
as i beheld the laden champa tree
dissipating its heavenly scent
from every slope and scree
but my heart lifted up in joy
grateful to be alive
when i beheld the awesome beauty
of the golden blooms on the kurinji tree
