(85) First Love Poem by David S Dennis

(85) First Love

Rating: 2.8

Does the lover find within him
The concatenated ardour
From every cell
The memory of that
First consecration
In a warm acidic pool
When a mitochondrion
Entered the engulfing shelter
Of a torpid bacterium
Turning poison
To lifeforce
The first sex
The birth of love?

An interesting thought - does DNA have that much memory? Thought provoking verse. Patrick

nature hides from us all these inner workings and the thoughts of a lover, so your question is pertinent and nicely couched in this clever verse. fine read, David. -Tailor

Intriguing poem seeking humanity in the biology of early life, and finding it, I suspect. Clever. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxx

Sounds a wee bit trepidatious & caustic to me...but intruiging as well...i like it! Nice Work, David'''''''''''''''''''''''''''FJR
