5 Easier When It Hurts Poem by Bill Smith

5 Easier When It Hurts

Rating: 5.0

Pleasure in a blunt knife

Too squeamish for the flow

Sleep away the lonely

Where transient dreamers go

Harder when the sun shines

Easier in the rain

Colder in a warm breeze

Masochistic in the pain

Easier when it hurts

Stonemasons smile

Blurring round the edges

Use a rougher file

Softer on the inside

Veneer sliced super thin

Chameleon pretender

Shedding snake like skin

That’s the way it feels

Laugh when the bubble bursts

Self inflicted scarring

It’s easier when it hurts
