That started a war
Who said let us fight?
There’ll be talking no more

What was the reason?
Why lives had to end
What will come next?
Many more troops we’ll send

Where will it get us?
Did we have to fight?
Where is the need?
Will two wrongs make it right?

When this battle ends
After thousands have died
Could it have been stopped?
Had diplomacy tried? ? ? ?
