.4. Open My Eyes Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Open My Eyes

My eyes were glazed
I could not see
The many times
You looked at me

They often closed
I saw no sign
That I was yours
And you were mine

I should have seen
But couldn’t read
So didn’t know
You took the lead

Now I know
I’m open eyed
And see it all
My love I’ve spied
