3 O'clock Poem by Mark Nichols

3 O'clock

3 O'clock, it was a sunny afternoon
I was walkin' home from work
They let me go too soon

She looked up
She had a smile upon her face
I was swept up by her grace
And she said, 'How are you? '

Now I speculate
That I wasn't doin' great
But I said that I was fine
And I went upstairs to lose my mind

3am, I was alone in our room
looked out the window saw the moon
She should have been home soon

6am she had a bruise upon her face
As she gave me an embrace
She said, 'How are you? '

Now I speculate
That I wasn't doin' great
But I said that I was fine
And I closed my eyes lose my mind

3 o'clock, it was a sunny afternoon
I was walkin' home from work
But I got home too soon

He looked up
He had a smile upon his face
She had her head hung in disgrace
And she said, 'How are you? '

Now I speculate
That I wasn't doing great
But I said that I was fine
And I went upstairs to lose my mind
