Footprints of carbon left in our wake
One step can affect may more
So fragile this world we all live in today
Though footprints not shown on the floor
From all of our homes comes pollution
We use both electric and gas
To power appliance to warm us
And through all our roofs it will pass
Slowly the planet is warming
The icecaps have started to melt
Our footprints have started a stampede
From the losing hand we have all dealt
