16th Girls Poem by jerica singleton

16th Girls

we once was the little girls
with pig tails and curls
playing jumping
and shooting marbles
we all had a dream
to live united
to the real King comes
but in this kingdom
you roam as beast
than men
thinking the same
we once were those little girls
with knowledge and words
speaking truth
and doing things that matter
we all had a dream
Cynthia Wesley,
Addie Lee Collins,
Carole Robertson,
Denise McNair,
To keep things civil
to all have rights
and to stay moving.....
