11: 11 P.M. Poem by Breanna Schwartz

11: 11 P.M.

Rating: 5.0

I lay
Thinking about what it could have been
It could have turned into marriage and children
It could have gone down hill and ended with broken hearts

Obituary and article in the news paper
'Young boy dies in car crash' it reads
That's my boyfriend
Was my boyfriend

11: 00 p.m. leaving my house
Without my mother knowing
He sneaks out my bedroom window
Without a sound

A phone call at 11: 11 p.m.
When I was about to make my daily wish
For our relationship to go satisfactorily
The caller ID says Unknown

I pick up
Wishing later that I didn't
A drunk driver
Dull-witted
