Dear Readers

I am fancied by the writings of Maha Kavi Bharathiyaar of Tamilnadu; when I was reading his commentary on Bhagavad Gita I came across many precious things; I thought of sharing with the rest of the world starting from 2008 last day; hope this will be interesting; I will post similar pages from the world of Tamil with you all)

Tamil transliteration
Meiththavach sangeduththaan maegalai vittanghaithalai
Vaiththavalachchan geduththaan

Translation

The one owning the conch of pure truth
Who destroyed the fear of Panchali
On her removal of hands from meghalai
And assembling them on her head in utter surrender
Resides in this place (called Thiri Vaenkadam) !

Meaning

The protector who has been ornamented with the conch of pure truth, who destroyed the fear of Draupathi when she removed her hands from Meghalai and kept those hands on her head as a mark of utter surrender resides in this mountain temple (Thiru Venkatam)

Commentary:

If we look at the meaning its clear that Lord Krishna never showed up as long as Draupathi tried to protect herself with her hands holding meghalai;

By the way meghalai is an ornament used in India a 1000 years ago by women folk to hide their upper part of the body;

This protection was necessitated when Duchathana, the atrocious brother of Duryodana on the commands of his brother started disrobing her in front of all the courtiers; even Bhisma did not protest; so Draupathi was left with no help other than the one from the Lord; even while calling Krishna she kept a hand on her upper ornament lest it may fall down.

Sooner she realized that it eas futile attempt and forgetting everything raised her hands and kept them on her head as the final attempt of the inner soul calling its soul mate; Immediately Krishna manifested in front of her and started giving more sarees continuously which made the work of Duchathana more difficult and ultimately he fell down due to overwork and fatigue.

So what I understand is that as long as our brain or mind thinks that with its power it can save us God never bothers to appear in front of us but when we dicide that everything is His measure then all our worries become His/Her worries and we are free to have access to Him? Her

Next episode we will see a slogan by Thiru Navuk Karasar..Sotrunai Vaedhian, a wonderful composition which conveys similar sentiments
