02- Skynard's Free Bird

Rating: 5.0

Bye bye Mommy it's been a world of strife
More ups and downs in this hard life
Bye bye Daddy thanks for all you've done
But I must go, when he puts away the sun
Like Skynard said in the song about setting the bird free
If I leave here tomorrow will you still remember me?
Every morning I clock in, punching in my card
Living this life just gets so damn hard
I miss the time when life was simple and free
When you think of your daughter what images will you see?
Will you see the happy girl or the broken woman?
Or me happy in heaven with Grand-dad and Nan
I'm going now so put away my things and lock the door
Please don't be angry don't cry anymore
I can't explain or make it clear for you
But if I’m not in pain, what is this I’m going through?
Just remember that maybe it's all for the best
My soul is now at peace my body now at rest
Like Skynard said in the song about setting the bird free
If I leave here tomorrow will you still remember me?
