    A Muse

    The poet needs his muse
    To enable him to find
The thoughts that he will use
From the deep parts of his mind

When the poets on the brink
    And struggling with his thought
    When trying hard to think
And locate that which is sought

    In times of desperation
When the cupboard it is bare
    He can find his inspiration
And the answer to his prayer

When the tethers end is found
    The poet asks his muse
For a penny gets a pound
    The lady will not refuse
