  • POEM: Masks of Darkness by Shqipe Prence (10/24/2014 3:05:00 AM)

'An empty being in the desert of self'. This particular line resonated in my mind, we all are in a desert of our own making, some using disguises and/or masks, trying to take what others have. Everywhere you look, seeing past the illusions, and lies in life, unmasking others to find yourself. Greed, killing, suffering, pain, ruining people's lives and taking their hard earned money, where will it all end? ? Will anyone be reborn from the tree of life, or must we continue to be frozen, never seeing the sun. All the pain and suffering in life can be unmasked, but what do we do with it then? Are there any solutions or just fear and death. A very thought-provoking poem Shquipe! You have mastered and gained insight into the heartless human race, very well done. Thank you for reading my poem: A Brokenness Inside, your comment was very enlightening, sometimes we need another's perspective to see how we have landed in someone else's mind through our poetry. You are very much appreciated, Shqipe. Thank you, RoseAnn

  • POEM: Candle in the wind by gulsher JOHN (10/23/2014 12:07:00 PM)

Tenderly touching my heart with grief and sorrow for this little one in pain. Very poignant poem, fantastic imagery, underlying feelings and emotions are intense and move the poem's rhythm from the mind to the heart. You are an excellent writer of poetry! Thank you for sharing it! RoseAnn

Now having 10,515 poems on PoemHunter.com, I want to thank all the poets who read and comment on my poetry
regularly. That's a lot of poetry I know, and those of you who read it, I just want you to know that I appreciate it and

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts! Have been in the hospital since May 2 when I had surgery. On May 22nd had another emergency surgery and ended up in
ICU - was on life support - a very scary time. It's taken a while and I'm okay. Hopefully will be out of medical rehab in a few weeks. Miss you all. Thank you for your wonderful comments, I greatly appreciate them. You are all so thoughtful! Poets usually are though! !

Didn't forget any of you, just couldn't get on computer at the hospital to keep in touch with everyone. When I get home for good will get back to reading all of your great and inspiring poetry. Can't wait! !

They only let me out of rehab. on a 4 hour pass so I have to get back now. Am looking forward to hearing from you all. Take care and God Bless you.
