  • POEM: Inner Callings by RoseAnn V. Shawiak (8/29/2014 11:47:00 AM)

As is normal of you, always brilliant, characteristic style, your own, a very well crafted, loved the expression mathematical chemistry. This poem of yours though differs from the others in past which has a cosmic feel to them. They had this feel as if from a spiritual text. This one is new novel and very much you.

  • POEM: Handle by Aparna Chatterjee (8/29/2014 11:16:00 AM)

Aparna glad to see you back, it has the characteristic Chatterjee pun but is perhaps short of Aparna's rage.

  • POEM: Reading Monet At Midnight by mary douglas (8/29/2014 10:40:00 AM)

Mary an absolutely inspiring write. The approach to write a poem on an art work of the great Monet and link it to today's times of torsion and despair speaks of your superlative comprehension and creative skills.

I am overwhelmed by poems on bipolar disorder and bipolarity. At the start of my gibberish and rubbish, let me assure you that medical help and assistance is key and one must peruse what is needed. But I have a few view points that I wish to share. Bipolar is natures true self. The atom is bipolar. Electrons are negative and protons positive. The chemistry of the universe non nuclear happens because of this polarity. I write this rubbish because my brain has a reaction going on. If you choose to read it, you can because the core of the earth is molten and we have a magnetic bipolarity, else we would be fried humans. Therefore before we fully know how those strands of DNA in our neurones are read into proteins, and some of them, determine what strands to be read when, and then we know fully well how do we decide what is temporary intellectual memory, what is semi permanent intellectual memory, and what is permanent memory (like batting our eye lids) , we really don't know a thing. Just because some psychos analyse you as Bipolar does not mean you are doomed, it could mean you have a very powerful chemistry in your brain, you react you are not inert, you are perhaps near to the core of the womb of Nature.

    Always

    I am not jealous
    of what came before me.

    Come with a man
    on your shoulders,
come with a hundred men in your hair,
come with a thousand men between your breasts and your feet,
    come like a river
    full of drowned men
which flows down to the wild sea,
to the eternal surf, to Time!

    Bring them all
    to where I am waiting for you;
    we shall always be alone,
we shall always be you and I
    alone on earth,
    to start our life!
    Pablo Neruda

When ever I read this poem by Neruda, I feel poor. Poor of not having acquired the capability to read it in its original tounge. Pablo's writing is for crisp, razor sharp and yet so tender and soft a true paradox in the science of writing style. But of course only Pablo could have written this, and I do agree this and nothing ever is the final word when it comes to being sharp and sensitive, Always will truly for ever remain one of Mans master pieces of a poem to bring out raw emotions and lay them as virgin flowers in appreciation for the woman of their lives. Not only shall we never have a Pablo again, I don't think there is space for a second one ever, we don't have space for an additional shade to his color of sensitivity, he exhausted all available wavelengths, how selfish of this great man.

Dale it doesn't, there is no co relation to my mind between wisdom and age, if I am a wood worker, I may sharpen my skill over time, if I am open to learning, therefore those who introspect, learn, and are open to self criticism wiser and ripen earlier, that's my take.
