Maria C. Pires Costa's last comments on poems and poets

  • POEM: A good poet by gajanan mishra (2/12/2015 4:59:00 PM)

Well, an attentive, cultivated, wise reader may distinguish a good poet from a not so good one... Anyway, every poet, on his own way, shows the authenticity of their feelings, emotions, I think. The poet's work is like a symphony of sweet, mellow, or poignant melodies depending on his thoughts, mood, observations. Sometimes the poet is so passionate, cheerful, happy, and some other times the poet even feels frustrated, distressed.
The poet chants Life, its joys and sorrows.
Thanks a lot, dear prolific poet, for raising these Qs in your poem A Good Poet

    Best regards,
    Maria

  • POEM: A Lost Dream by Tony Adah (2/12/2015 4:17:00 PM)

Indeed, throughout the night we may cuddle some dreams but they sometimes easily fly away...
I enjoy the images of nature associated with your dreams.
    All the best!

  • POEM: Lost in Your Light by Dr. Debasish Mridha (2/12/2015 4:00:00 PM)

A sweet, lovely thread well crafted and fraught with a deep feeling of love and wisdom.

    Dear Poemhunter Team,

I've heard this is the last day for the Poetry contest. I would appreciate very much if You included my poem " To Love & Poetry" .
This is just a way of sharing with other peers or novice poem writers. In the process we all have fun and surely can learn something
from each other, our own cultures and views. Thanks in advance!

    To Love & Poetry

Dwelling in the realms of verse
    Protected by God's Mercy
Love speaks in a way diverse.
    It pays homage to courage,
    Inner strength, soul pilgrimage!

It echoes chants, holy and pure,
    Descending upon us quietly
    Strengthening days to endure.
It stays in little gestures, cheerfully
    Feeding our lines delightfully.

    This immense ocean of poetry
Allows it to deeply immerse into
    Waves of sweetness and mystery.
    Herein a lighthouse was seen
We'll linger over it for good, serene.

    Dear Sir, Mehta Hasmukh Amathalal

I've just read your beautiful poem wherein a substantial content is revealed, highlighting Poetry, Art and Melody.
In my view, Poetry is a noble Art one has to cherish through feelings and emotions felt. Art may be visualized Poetry.
Both are are intertwined and convey powerful meanings.
    Good Luck!
    Best regards
    Maria

Well, if you have an idea, a favourite topic or something that has really impressed or shocked you, try and express your feelings and emotions about it. Sometimes you feel that a lovely sentence conveys your thought. Then, start from that point and you'll see the thread being shaped...
By practising you can see some progress.But... never stop reading poetry!
