    Two prizes of $1,000 each and publication in New Guard will be given annually for a poem and a short story or novel excerpt. Tim Seibles will judge in poetry and Joe Wenderoth will judge in fiction. Using the online submission system, submit three poems of up to 150 lines each or no more than 5,000 words of prose with a $15 entry fee by July 14. All entries will be considered for publication.     A prize of $500 and a weeklong residency at Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities in Southern Pines, North Carolina, is given annually for a work of poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction that reflects the people and culture of North Carolina.     Tethered by Letters' Fall Poetry Contest

    Deadline: 15th July,2014.
    Prize: $100 and publication in the quarterly journal
    Entry Fee: $5 per entry OR $12 for three entries
    We are currently accepting poetry submissions of all genres and styles-from traditional form to free verse. Length requirements are no more than three pages per poem, single spaced with double spacing between stanzas. The poetry contest winner will be published as the featured poem in the Fall 2014 Quarterly Journal. Three finalists will be considered for subsequent quarterly journal publications or a TBL monthly poetry feature. Each finalist will also receive free professional edits on their submission. International submissions welcome.

    Ledbury Poetry Festival Poetry Competition 2014

    Poets Meet Painters 2014

    Closing date: 1st July 2014.
    Prizes: One cash prize of €250, for any poem in the competition. All shortlisted poems will be featured at a reading at Mill Cove Gallery on 4 August 2013; all winning and commended poems will be published in a printed anthology and/or on the Hungry Hill Writing website.
    Entry fee: €8 per entry is payable via Paypal on website.
    Theme: Poems must be about, or inspired by, any work or works of art (a) exhibited at Mill Cove Gallery and Sculpture Garden or Mill Cove Gallery Kenmare, or (b) displayed on the website www.millcovegallery.com
