    Sentinel Literary Quarterly Poetry Competition

    Closing Date: 31st August,2014.
    Prizes: £200 (First) , £75 (Second) , £50 (Third) , £20 x 3 (High Commendation) .
    The winners and commended poems will receive first publication in Sentinel Literary Quarterly magazine.
    Fees: £4/1, £7/2, £9/3, £11/ 4, £12/5, £16/7, and £22 for 10 poems.
    For original, previously unpublished poems in English Language, on any subject, in any style up to 50 lines long. This competition is open to all poets regardless of nationality, living anywhere in the world. Judge: Will Daunt.

    Up to five awards of $6,000 each and up to five Promise Awards of $2,000 each are given twice yearly to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers with children. Writers with at least one child under the age of 18 are eligible. Using the online submission system, submit up to 10 poems totaling no more than 25 pages or up to 25 pages of prose with a biography, an artist statement, a curriculum vitae, a project statement, and a $10 entry fee by August 31.     International Children's Stories Competition 2014

    Details:
    Closing Date: 31st August 2014
    Prizes: The two winning stories in the 1-3 years and 4-6 years category will be published as illustrated children's books by Clavis publishing inc. The theme of this year's competition is 'Grandpa, grandma and I living in our multicultural society'. You can participate in the 1-3 years category (600 words maximum) and the 4-6 years category (900 words maximum) . Rhyming stories welcome.
