Poetics and Poetry Discussion

Nothing original here [- W@king Up -]. This is an amalgamation/bastardization of 3 Yeats poems: To A Poet, Who Would Have Me Praise Certain Bad Poets, Imitators Of His And Mine; Under Ben Bulben; The Ballad Of The Foxhunter. I stumbled on this site yesterday and was flabbergasted that Angelou was " ranked" #4 of all time. I was going to write a long diatribe about the corrosive, pernicious effect of judging/promoting art based on race/gender, but remembered that Yeats was a severe critic of bad poetry. Were he alive today, he would have excoriated Angelou for truly phenomenally bad poetry. This was just may bad attempt at putting voice to his certain criticism.
