When I was a boy I'm sure my Mother used to read me a Poem about a
The Jailer and the Jaguar were walking in the rain
the Jaguar with a swaguar the Jailer with a pain
Can anyone tell me the author or where it came from?Please as I can't find it any where61421

    " and they were looking for cloths to mend but mostly for their wives, who had left them long ago to add colour to their lives...." and I can't remember any more or who wrote it I am afraid. If any one finds out I would very much like to have the rest of the words. Bruce

    The poem is by Mervyn Peake and found in his book Rhymes Without Reason.
