CHARACTER DESCRIPTION (THE REVERN) A blinding light surrounding the children of the Lord, This natural disaster struck God's last cord. As we travel hopefully, filled with love in our hearts by that anxious flight. We all came together from many different states, Bringing what we didn't need, even old china plates. But, one man; a Revern, seemed to stick out to me; He was old and could hardly see. But this man, with one sock and little to give, Shown through his heart, the secrets of how to live. He came with the same adgenda, to help those who can't help themselves. He lived day by day, never worrying, free to express himself. He said many wise things to those in need; He made them feel as if they were born of the same breed. Even with his dirty white beard and limping, wobble walk, He had a way to draw you in when he talked. Loud, merry, and gay was his voice; It would catch your attention without a choice. I know now, even though this man was poor, And the sight of him was sore; His heart was kind; full of love, He was as selfless as the Lord's dove. Giving all that he had, which was more than what most did. He was a jar full of hope without a lid; Which spread to those who were down, Helping them to sleep safe and sound. Amber Smith
