Kiss The Flame Poem by Lovely Enchantress

Kiss The Flame

Rating: 5.0

I walked between two flames a ritual performed.
I walk between worlds, the veil of mystery.
I've become enlightened, seeking truth.
Kiss the flame.
The elusive snake sheds her skin for transformation.
Little viper, hard lessons learned.
The firebird rises from her ashes.
Through the smoke she is reborn, to be more brilliant than before.
Kiss the flame.
I must be light and darkness, embrace both.
Balance yin and yang.
We must walk through darkness to find light.
I shall dance in the dark places of your mind.
Sometimes we must kiss the flame.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Interesting poem. Top score. It is but natural that when ‘I' (the poet) is a ‘she' the snake and the firebird are she's too. but very interesting. I think, given a chance "worlds" and "flames" also would be she's under your pen

Very beautiful writing! I think especially the end I think it's really strong: " I shall dance in the dark places of your mind. Sometimes we must kiss the flame." Keep writing!

3) it is the most macho of all Hindu Gods Lord Siva who shares His body and soul with His consort Parvathi to become One! The Ardhanareeswara.

But, the ultimate of the ‘dwandas' you use light/darkness, yin/yang is "Ardhanareeswara" (half woman & half man) one of the fundamental concepts of Hindu religion and philosophy
