Shoeshine Boy Poem by Steve Olver

Shoeshine Boy

Rating: 5.0

If towards your love i move,
What part of me will you choose?

The man who should need to prove
He is more than just shiny shoes.

Hoping that will be the case,
Then i'll gain your pretty face.

After all the other day
I threw my shoeshine kit away!

I'll take all of you i hear you say
But can i be whole everyday?

Sometimes bits go missing
Still one can go on wishing.

Wishing for a loving chick
Who with this foolish boy will stick.

To my problem there may be a way
Buy brand new shoes everyday.
