Roger Gerald Hick, an American poet & artist, is co-founder of RedondoPoets.com and the 22-year old Coffee Cartel weekly poetry reading in Redondo Beach, California.
His poetry has been published widely & he's been featured 15 times at Los Angeles, California poetry venues. His writing and art have won many contests, including the L.A. County fair. He taught essay writing for the TOEFL three years. In 1999 he received the Torrance (city) Achievement in Literary Arts Award. He is a member of California State Poetry Society, Poetry Society of New Hampshire, and listed in " U.S.A. Poets and Writers National Directory."
Hicks attended high school in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Beirut, Lebanon; and graduated from Phoenix College, A.A.; Arizona State University, B.S. He earned Master's Degree at West Coast University in Los Angeles. Additionally, two years post-graduate in philosophy and psychology.
