Robert Edgar Burns Biography
I am a 59 year old married man, going on 42 years to my High School Sweetheart Kathie. i Love babysitting grandkids and writing poetry and short stories, and putting them in the action. I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer from the Tampa Bay, Florida area. I have two grown children, Amy 33 and Roger 41 and 3 grandsons from 5 to 18 years old. I am an avid Biker but with a purpose!
I love playing the guitar and writing my own music. I am on the board of directors of a local charity called 'Born Again To Ride.' We take our motorcycles into jails and prisons all over the country taking athletes and entertainers with us to bring a message of hope to the inmates. My Favorite saying is 'As a man thinks in his heart, SO IS HE! ' Also 'Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.' A third would be: Life is short. Death is sure! Sin's the cause. Christ's the cure! I have 12 Tattoos on my arms
all based on Biblical Scriptures which I call my sermon notes! I have Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy,
and Macular Degeneration, so I am going blind rapidly.
In the meadow of the valley,
Where wild flowers are roaming free.
There are multitudes of colors
And their backdropp forest greens.

In the heart of all hero's are fears.

I went through the drive thru
Of a local Taco Bell,
After an especially hectic
Law Enforcement night!

A promise of tomorrow.
A namesake shining through.
A bloodline that continues on,
Through eternal springs of youth.

How can I show my love for friends?
I’ll cook up something grand and then,
I’ll add some sugar right from my heart,
To sweeten it so it’s not to tart.
