I have dreamed

of a father

So grand and dear

I know I have one

But he never there

You came into my life

With arms wide open

I hoped you would

See me and see my heart

I know you love me

I see in it your words

You talk to me

Like I'm your own

Like it doesn't matter

That I have done wrong

I hope I never fail for you

Or break your heart

Because I want you

To know I love you with all my heart heart

Your like a father to me

And I hope you always will

Love me for me
