Your Heart Together (Happy 18th Birthday Joshua) Poem by Adrian Antique

Your Heart Together (Happy 18th Birthday Joshua)

After eighteen years of forever,
Maybe it is time to let you go.
Your laugh has blended with every rain shower,
Yet the sun that shines in your eyes
Has always been flaming yellow.

So, search for your happiness in other children's eyes …
Look at the clouds as if they're filled with rainbows.
And when twilight comes, remember the skies -
There are always fireflies somewhere in the afterglows.

Walk with your face towards the mighty mountains …
Run, take a breather … and fly even with a wounded wing -
For tears will always be there like looking into a broken lens,
But always touch that fire inside you
Where our dragons and lions sing.

Forgive me then … perhaps it is the moment to embrace -
The little sketch I scribbled has already turned into a face,
With a voice that sprinkles me with wisdom and wonder …
With crazy dreams of giants that make me feel bigger.

It is time to go, my son -
find love … but keep your heart together.
Somewhere along the sea shore we've painted,
Maybe you could find her …
And when the stars go out and you only have the moon
Don't fear the darkness because I will be there soon …
And when the time comes that I must finally fade into the water
Just hold your heart together and find me in our river.
