You Could Have Been An Ant

Rating: 4.9

You could have been an ant.
I could have been an anteater.
You could have been rain.
I could have been a lick of salt.
But we are blessed here and now
to be human beings, alive in rare ways
that we often take for granted.

See, I can rise from a depth of awareness
to express this to you
and you can listen and
understand me
because of our preciousness
as human beings.

You are one of the rarest forms of life
to ever walk the earth.
This realization ushers us
Into grateful living.

Love what you love now.

Grateful and awake
ask what you need to know now
in prayer on your kneels humbly.

Absolutely wonderful poetic portrait of our lives here on earth! You've expressed it so eloquently and positively, like a rake readying the ground for a garden of beauty, filling our minds with your wisdom once again, Tony! Really great poem! Thank you for sharing! RoseAnn
