Where lies the beauty of life?
In the dawn and fading night,
In each sunset's soft retreat,
And the daybreak's quiet light.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the seasons as they turn,
In spring's bloom and winter's frost,
In the sun's relentless burn.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In each breath that comes and goes,
In the pulse within our veins,
And the heart that gently knows.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the moon, the stars that gleam,
In the rain and restless winds,
And the hush between each beam.
Where lies the beauty of life?
On the land, beneath the skies,
In the space that lies between,
Where each silent wonder lies.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the clouds and drifting haze,
In the frost and storms that fall,
And the sun's resplendent gaze.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In each shadow softly cast,
In the glow of fleeting joy,
And the stillness that will last.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the depth of sleep and dreams,
In the wakeful, searching eyes,
And the truth that gently gleams.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the mountains standing tall,
In the river's endless path,
And the ocean's solemn call.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the love that binds the soul,
In the rage that tests the heart,
Making each half of the whole.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the song and silent tear,
In the joy that breaks the dark,
And the sorrow held near.
Where lies the beauty of life?
In the heaven yet to find,
In the fleeting, in the vast—
Within the heart and mind.
The beauty of life is known,
In its fullness, fierce and pure.
In the wholeness of the truth,
That forever will endure.
