When I Miss You

If I could ask your hand for a dance
to mellow the fear in your heart
and stir your nimble feet
to the beat of the drums,
I would dance with you to the end of the night.
Heartbeat tuned to the rhythm of your feet.
Eyes lost in a lake within your dazzling eyes.
If only I could wrap you with love
I would play the tune endless time.
I would share the warmth of my heart
while you swayed softly in my arms.
If I could whisper I would not lie.
I would not lie to you that I could live forever without you.
I would not confess
Would not waver
I would only sway like tequila in a glass.
To the toil, I would not perish
I would continue to groove lost under the Aquila…
I do not know what I do when I miss you,
for I miss you so often
May be I dream of a tango night.
