Whats Underneath That Smile

What's underneath that smile of yours?
A lifetime of internal wars
and as you go on day by day
they just keep getting in the way
when they jeer, you could have done so well
would you not like to simply tell
that when your the lowest of the low
then downs the only way to go
when all you were was criticised
achievement's reached were just despised
when all your told is your no good
you just cant get to where you should
when no ones whispered I love you
and hugs were not the thing to do
when no one wants you in their sight
it swipes you with tremendous might
so inner battles fought and lost
are what you learn to pay as cost
when your nothing in a mothers eyes
the want of being simply dies
the yearning never goes away
you simply keep the want at bay
Life doesn't have the time to care
a million others come from here
but only they can really know
how hard it is to let it go
but people are too busy too
be listening to the likes of you
so travel on through life's long miles
with hidden tears behind your smile
