MEI HUA: Plum Flowers
-- by Wang Anshi (1021—1086)
-- Translated by Frank C Yue

Sev'ral plum branches stand at the wall corner there;
Ev'n in extreme cold they, alone, flow'r in delight.
From a distance I know that they are not snow white,
For sweet scent floats and lingers in the freezing air.

【梅花】 北宋 • 王安石

墙角数枝梅, 凌寒独自开。
遥知不是雪, 为有暗香来。
