Unforgivable Poem by Chris Embrick

Unforgivable

Unforgivable
The warmth of your embrace
The trust in your eyes
The smile on your face
The scars on my heart you left
Now like a faded rose
The door to my heart you opened
You said you'd never close
The life you promised me
The ring I never wore
My shattered hopes and dreams
When you said it was over
You promised to be true
With your unfailing love
But the way you broke my heart tonight
Is unforgivable.
