Two Faced



I anticipated a struggle.
I expected the pain.
I never, ever imagined
Love would be this insane.

I predicted the problems.
I foresaw that it’d be hard.
Looking back in hindsight, though,
I should never have dropped my guard.

Like a diamond it did sparkle.
But with poison it was laced.
I had to learn the hard way,
that Love is so two faced.
