Timelines Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Timelines

Timelines

the wars forinequites
todays in the chime of history
a caption recovered
but never lost
what happens today
afteryesterday's bell,

all misunderstanding on the scaffold
and the chaos below,
allhuman phantoms
described, imagined,

life in its best
and worst situations,
gratitudes and merits,

About anger and management,
hunger or pain,

Unabridged understanding,
all soundsof indignation
or righteousness
all playedbeyond ourcapacity
and changes,

The world is never
enough to surprise
to excite and surpass
our limitations.
or greed,

The investiture of youth,
the bankruptcy of the old,
honorable assent
descend,
intensities for a unique race,

To sit in the autumn
dissolution
to understand.

assume things
resumes, anyway.
